Profusion Holiday Shadow Trio

Profusion Holiday Shadow Trio

20170109_134547Packaging: The Packaging is cheap, but that is expected for the price. It really is not terrible though. The base is sturdy, and it comes with a lot of product. The cap is a hard plastic. The two pieces separately are well made, but together are a little bulky and cheap looking.

Color Selection: I like the deep collection they were going for, but maybe one dark, one medium, and one light would be optimal.

Price: The price of all three is $1, and are actually $.50 at the moment!

Collection: They are a part of the 2016 Profusion Holiday Collection

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of the copper and brown shades are phemominal. The blue does not show very well.

Wear time: They wear on the eyes fairly well with primer. About 6-8 hours long.

Where to buy: Walgreens! I believe they are in store only.

Final Verdict: Yes! Yes! Yes! These are amazing! I recommend running to your local Walgreens A.S.A.P. to pick these up, especially because they are only $.50 right now. The brown and copper shades are so worth the money! I hope they continue to come out with mor shades.

L.A. Colors Day to Night Palette: Sunset

Packaging: I was very surprised a how good quality the pakaging is. The plastic is hard and strong. It is fairly easy to open, and closes well. It is a great size for on the go! However, I have always disliked shadow pans of this shape, because it is hard to dip a brush in.

Color Selection: I feel that the color selection is great. There is a good mixture of light/dark, neutral/bold, and satin/shimmer shadows. There are 12 different palettes, and I feel that there is a palette for every look.

Price: They retail for $1.99.

Amount of Product: Each palette has .28 ounces.

Collection: They are part of L.A. colors eyeshadow palette collection called Day to Night. I am not sure if they are part of the L.A. Colors permanent collection.

Claims: Each palette claims to have looks for both day and night, and I feel that they live up to this claim.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is spotchy. I found (in the Sunset palette) that the night shadows are way more pigmented than the day shadows. The darker shades are amazing!

Wear time: They last very well on the eyes, especially with primer.

Where to buy: I purchased mine at Rite Aid, but they can purchased online through

Final Verdict: I feel that for the money, this palette is worth it, especially for the darker shades. I would love to try the other palettes.

Revlon Photo Ready Eye Art

The Revlon Photo Ready Eye Art double ended liners are targeted to used for the “lid, lash, and line.” One side features a beautiful metallic cream, and the other side is a gooey glitter base.

Packaging: Gorgeous hard plastic tube, with two ends that unscrew. Super durable, and nice looking. The applicator for the cream side is a flat doe foot, and the glitter side is a dense brush.

Color Selection: I would say the color selection is ok, there are eight shades, which include: turquoise, purple, black, blue, peach, green, gold, and champagne. I would like to have seen a silver and a rose gold.

Price: They are about $8.99, which is right on par with Revlon’s prices. There are not many products to compare this to from the drugstore, so I would say that it is well priced for what you get.

Amount of Product: Each stick comes with .2 fluid ounce. Each side has .1 fluid ounce.

Collection: These are a part of Revlon’s Photo Ready line, which is permanent to their collection!

Pigmentation: The color payoff on the cream is amazing! The glitter is good, I wouldn’t say great though. On its own, the glitter is goopy and separates. When placed on top of the cream and mascara, it looks beautiful.

Wear time: They last all day, and do not crease with a primer underneath!
